CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE VACANCY

            The 12th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission has recommended the following four persons for the judicial post held by Judge Janette Dunnigan, a long time Circuit Judge in the 12th Judicial Circuit who is now retiring .

 

            They are:

 

·                  Mary Ann Floyd, a lawyer from Englewood

·                  Renee Lynn Inman, Magistrate from Parrish

·                  Paul Olah, Jr., a lawyer from Lakewood Ranch

·                  Judge Charles Sniffen, from Bradenton

 

            Judge Sniffen is a Mantee County Court Judge, now being nominated to a Circuit Court position.

 

            Judge Dunnigan has served on the Circuit Court Bench since January, 1994 and currently presides over one of the family court divisions in Manatee County.

 

            She was appointed by Governor Lawton Chiles in 1994, and was the first appointed female circuit judge in the three counties comprising the 12th Judicial Circuit.

 

            Prior to being appointed judge, she was a private practitioner and an Assistant State Attorney having worked her way up to be Chief of the Felony Division before being appointed Circuit Judge.
