Through its award-winning monthly news magazine, The Docket, the SCBA keeps its members informed and entertained. Considered by members as an essential read, the newsletter includes articles written and edited by attorneys who are recognized authorities in their field. Round table discussions on legal “hot topics” have proven to be a favorite feature. A calendar of events, announcements, classified and display ads, section news, restaurant, book and movie reviews are also published on a regular basis.

The Docket is published monthly (except December and July). It reaches a sophisticated, highly educated, high-income audience of more than 1,200 attorneys, judges and other members of the legal community. The Docket is also featured through social media for new and potential members as well as the public to view at any time.

Display ads require a five- or ten-month contract and will receive a 5% or 10% monthly discount, respectively.

Submission Criteria:

Priority consideration will be given to members of the SCBA.
Advocacy, political statement pieces, and op-ed style proposals will not be accepted.
Proposed article may not serve any commercial or political purpose or serve to solely promote a particular product, service, individual or their practice.
Submitting an article does not guarantee publication and is at the discretion of the Executive Director and Editorial Committee.
The SCBA reserves the right to edit articles at its sole discretion.
Articles are due the first Friday of the month.
